Welcome….please take a look around!

You found it! My new and improved website is up and running. I’m happy to be able to share my work on the web in a new and exciting way! I’m using the blog format of WordPress, which at first was a bit intimidating, but like anything else, became a lot less scary once I got to know it better. I’ve been busy adding all my best iPhoneography, but since I’m uploading one piece at a time, often with explanatory text, it’s taking a lot longer than I originally thought it would. The good news is, we think we’ve worked out all the kinks with the formatting; now it’s just a matter of me adding what I can, when I can, and then keeping it current going forward.

You will find that I’ve sorted the work in a few different ways. If you want to look at all my photos, chronologically, you can do that by going to the home page and clicking on the top left image on the grid, and then arrow through all the posts one at a time. I’ve also categorized each photo into one or more "galleries". From the gallery pages you can start a slide show of that particular group of photos. Finally, you can browse through the various tags that each photo has been given.

Can I just say how hard it is to edit one’s own work? I mean, balancing the appropriate amount of variety, both of style and subject, but not overloading the site with too much clutter and noise, is rather difficult. Then again, as I go back to see my work over the past many months, I’m finding some things I kind of forgot about, but really do love, so I want to include them, too.

Speaking of overload, I also have a tumblr site, which is much less of a "polished/this-is-who-I-am" site. If you are interested in seeing a stream of work that I posted on Instagram for the past many months, you can see it here.
