Amanda’s Porch

In addition to having a degree in photography, I also have a BFA in art history.  I’m always pleased when I get to tap into that part of my past.  When I saw this scene, I was immediately drawn to the shadows and patterns of the deck furniture.  I’m certain my love of the work by Paul Strand influenced me as I was framing this shot.
